About Fort
It is said to be built in Tippu Sultan's period and was used as jail. It is a hidden fort - means there is a way from one point to another under the ground, which was used to safeguard themselves from opponents. The fort is in the shape of Star. Once you have reached to the top you will feel a nice cool breeze and also a very good view of western ghats. With a good balance, climb up the boundary wall and experience the great view.

After climbing the steps you will reach to the entrance of the fort.

In the above pic you can see the star shape of the fort, with 8 corners.

From the top of the fort you can enjoy the view of the western ghats.
